Georgina Theodora Wood is the new Chief Justice of Ghana - the first woman in this position

Parliament yesterday approved by consensus the nomination of Mrs Justice Georgina Theodora Wood as the new Chief Justice of Ghana.

Justice Wood, therefore, becomes the first woman in the history of the country and perhaps Africa to be given the responsibility of managing one of the most important and sensitive arms of state, the Judiciary.Quelle
